As far as I know, there isnt any law that says you must pay the judgement all at once...If you pay him $5 a week for the rest of your life, thats YOUR choice if you can bear with how it shows on your CRs.Well, in fact there is a law that says you must pay the judgment all at once if you have funds or property that can be seized to satisfy it and the debtor doesn't feel comfortable that he or she is paying the correct party, or as in this case the judgment holder isn't accpeting his/her mail.
"Purchased by another lender" with a zero balance is a positive account.

Thanks for the feedback. That is exactly what I thought. Meaning it would remain for 7 years. The lawyer said she wouldn't contest to have it vacated, but did note that she couldn't do it since it's her client. Oh well, another costly lesson in my credit life.
I just received an updated report from Experian. 2 negative TL's just appeared. To be honest, I do not remember them EVER being on my credit report. Both are very old, paid.. and according to Experian, "The item was verified and updated on 10/2002." I have been repairing my credit for almost two years now and I have never seen these two accounts appear on this report.
